I, Lynette Esak, a Rotary West Member, am also the Director of Junior Achievement (JA) of Northern Alberta & NWT.  I would like to ask Rotary West Members for volunteer interest in Junior Achievement.

Junior Achievement Worldwide is the world's largest organization dedicated to educating young people about business, economics, and free enterprise. We believe that partnering business and education is the key to strengthening the communities we serve and promoting empowerment for future leaders. Last year we reachedover 12,000 students in grades 3 through 12 (majority in Edmonton) with our volunteer driven, in class programs. This year our goal is to impact over 16,000 of Alberta's youth in Edmonton, Northern Alberta and NWT, and we need your help to do it!Teaching a JA class is an incredibly rewarding experience which allows volunteers to both develop professionally, as well as positively impact and inspire the lives of Alberta's youth.

If you are interested in finding out more about Junior Achievement please call me at 780-452-4125 x 245 or email at lynette.esak@esakconsulting.com .  Alternatively more information is also available on the JA website www.javolunteer.com .   There is training available.  Generally the elementary school programs have a commitment of 1 hour a week for 4 weeks, while the junior high programs are 6 hours in one day.

It is fun, easy and very rewarding J   Refer your friends to be entered into a weekly prize draw!
