About our Club
The Rotary Club of Edmonton West, sponsored by the Edmonton Downtown club, was admitted to membership in Rotary International in 1955 with 21 charter members. Ben Lang was our charter President. Our membership, drawn from many walks of life, is generally around 50 members.
We meet weekly, nearly every Monday. Our weekly meetings are a great opportunity to connect in fellowship with each other, and also to learn more about current initiatives, both local and global. We also bring in inspiring speakers and guests quite often.
In addition to weekly meetings and serving the community, Edmonton West also holds many social events. If you're looking to meet other community-minded people, Rotary is a great way to do so. You'll develop lifelong friendships along the way, and also discover new business opportunities and networks, as many of us have!
Learning More About Rotary
Each Rotarian, through education, can discover their purpose within Rotary, and in doing so, find new and creative ways to help themselves and Rotary grow.
Our club supports our members in learning more about Rotary. Opportunities for learning more about Rotary come in many forms, including our own Fall and Spring learning seminars, as well as learning and development at our weekly meetings. Members can also learn more about Rotary through Rotary's own Learning Centre and online webinars. There's a place for you here!
