Announcements:
Yellowhead Brewery Social: Will be held on Friday June 12th  Please contact Spencer or Annie to confirm your attendance.  Cost $25, address 10229 105 Street; time 7:00 p m
 
Fort Edmonton Clean Up:  Rotary District 5370 has its annual program for clean up this historic park scheduled for May 9;  we need to let the District know how many people we will have attending, so please let Spencer know if you are attending - It is planned to run from 9am to 1pm and includes a free barbeque!
 
Eyes for Huehue:  There are already over 50 items for the silent auction and we expect to have around 100 by the actual date . Tickets are still available from Ben or Lorne for the silent auction and dinner on May 13 @ Chateau Louis; 6:15 p m; $65 each;  Guests are more than welcome to attend to help fund this wonderful Rotary program (This will be our Rotary meeting for the week of May 11, so there will be no Monday meeting that week)
 
Fine Master: Jerome Martin challenged the group with a couple of questions and asked each table to respond.  The questions were; "For the world and you, what is great about Rotary?"; and "What can we as Rotary do better?"  This sparked a lot of comments, insight and 'wisdom'.
 
50/50:  Doug & Jim did not match cards  Therefore $194 was carried over until next meeting.
 
 
Update and round table regarding Rotarians individual projects and happenings:
 
Rob Dunseith let eveyone know about about the Edmonton Legal community's 10th annual fundraising comedy performance and reception.  This year the play is "The Beaux' Stratagem" by George Farquhar and Rob will be playing the part of Gloss, a man of two professions, highwayman and clergyman.  The event goes for one night only, Friday May 8th at 7:30 in the Eva Howard Theatre at Victoria School of the Arts.  For tickets, contact Rob directly.
 
Bill Buckham gave the group an update on the Griesbach community project with all the naming stones and central art all in final fabrication.  So the unveiling is near! hopefully.
 
David Gibbens notified everyone that he is volunteering for the CKUA fundraiser this week and will be writing a short music blog in their monthly newsletter (which is sent out to all subscribers)
 
Jerome Martin - will be combining music and publishing at the Faculty club, so if you want to attend, please contact Jerome.
 
Mike Ryan reminded everyone of Cleanscene's fundraising night at "Big Al's House of Blues" which will be happening on Manday, April 26th - Contact Mike or Leslie if you would like to attend
 
Doug McDougal reported that he was to forward slutations to the group from Bob Lamoureaux and also gave an update on Bill Arnold who is physically very well at the age of 102!
 
Also, our best wishes go out to Frank Boodram whom is in the midst of Chemotherapy at this time.
