Edmonton West Rotary members;
We have been contacted by a close friend of Constable Daniel Woodall's family and asked to assist them by lining the route of the funeral procession with Canadian Flags. Please forward this message to your membership and encourage them to assist in this very worthwhile service to our city. We need people !
Rotarians and Rotary Youth of Edmonton and Area we have been asked to assist at the procession of the funeral for EPS Constable Daniel Woodall. The family has requested that there be Canadian flags along the procession route as happened at the Funeral of RCMP Constable Wynn last winter. The Rotary Club of Edmonton Strathcona and The Rotary Club of St. Albert are both donating flags for this occasion. The Funeral is Wednesday June 17 and the procession begins at 9:30 am from the Legislative grounds follows Jasper Avenue and finishes at the Shaw Conference centre. If you are able to assist we will have Flag pick up at the District Office 16030 - 104 Avenue Monday June 15 between 3 and 6pm and Tuesday June 16 between 3 and 6pm. Flags will be signed for and returned directly to the District Office after the funeral on Wednesday.
Please consider this very worthwhile way to serve our city.
Sincerely,
Rene Cavanagh - District 5370 Administration
