Zebra Child & Youth Advocacy Centre supports children and other young people who have experienced abuse. It works to create a world where every young person is heard. Victims of abuse are sometimes asked to tell their stories in the Court system, and Zebra helps them deal with the stress attendant on the judicial process.

In October 2023, Zebra experienced a deliberately-set fire in its downtown Edmonton premises which forced the organization to close for several days and destroyed much of its inventory of supplies it uses to help its clients. WIthin days, the Edmonton community rallied to Zebra's assistance, donating more than $40,000 to help replace its damaged supplies. Among the groups coming to Zebra's aid was the Rotary Club of Edmonton West, which contributed $5,000 within days of the fire.

Emmy Stuebing, the CEO of Zebra, will visit the Club to tell us more about her organization's programs and what our Club's support will mean to Zebra and its clients. Emmy, a graduate of the University of Alberts, is a 20-year veteran of the nonprofit sector.
