A reminder that currently Self-Guided Planting Shifts are designed for groups of 2 - 5 people, and that a program leader will not join you on-site.

Working Outdoors in Naturalized Areas

This is an outdoor event, so please dress for the weather, dressing in layers, long pants and a hat. Working in a naturalized area, it is possible that you may encounter thistles, sticks, or garbage. You and your volunteers must wear sturdy, closed-toed shoes such as runners.

Volunteers may not participate in planting activities if they wear inappropriate footwear, such as sandals, flip-flops, or high heel shoes.

Safety Protocols
Please bring and wear a mask. Each volunteer should fill out a COVID-19 Pre-Screening Checklist. If you are feeling unwell, please do not attend.

Remember to bring a water bottle and snacks, as planting trees can be a very physical activity!  We suggest you bring sunscreen, bug spray, and anything else that will make your volunteer shift an enjoyable experience.

Thank you, and happy planting! 🌲
