FRIENDSHIP PICNIC IN THE PARK

Part of Rotary's mission is to provide service to others, promote integrity, and advance world understanding, goodwill, and peace through fellowship. We have a wonderful opportunity, through our connection with the Edmonton Mennonite Newcomers Centre, to meet a group of newcomers to Edmonton and enjoy a picnic together. This will be a family event and I encourage you all to bring your families too!

Through our hands-on volunteering we don't often get to connect with the people who use these service organizations. We do vital work, but don't get the chance to sit down and listen to their stories. I am really excited to get that chance! Through this experience we can create a supportive environment that can foster open communication and shared learning. 

The food will be pot luck and burgers and hot dogs will be provided. More details will be forthcoming when people have signed up.
