Dictionaries for Prince Charles Students, Thursday Sept 26; 52 dictionaries were distributed to Grade 4 students at Prince Charles School.
We had a great team out at Hope Mission on Sunday September 29, cooking up a storm. A total of 370 meals were served!
At our September 30 club meeting, our past-president Annie Mueller received the 2018/2019 Presidential Gold Citation Award.
Edmonton and Calgary Rotary members came together to coordinate driving three ambulances from Edmonton and a fire truck from Calgary to the national guard at Great Falls Montana on Sunday September 22. National Guard will air lift all units to Belize on Saturday. Thank you to Vic Rudkowski for passing on the photo and sharing this great Rotary project!

The Youth Orchestra of Northern Alberta - Sistema (YONA-sistema) is a program offered by the Edmonton Symphony Orchestra that aims to offer youth an opportunity for early music education.
Music education has been proven to affect brain development, social and emotional capacities, and countless other skills and abilities. Through this program, they also aim to use music to bring young people together and provide them with a sense of community and belonging outside of their usual day-to-day activities.
YONA is a unique after-school program in that it provides holistic care for all students, encompassing nutrition, free play, academic support, interpersonal skill support, and expressive arts education alongside daily music instruction during the “critical” after-school hours.
Encompassing all of their work are their four pilar values—inclusivity, community, peer mentorship, and intensive instruction.
