What have we been up to this month?

Edmonton West has had a busy couple of weeks doing great things in the community.

Our volunteers were back at the Edmonton Food Bank. The warehouse is becoming our second home. We are getting so efficient at sorting that they had trouble keeping up with us:)

On the September long weekend our unstoppable Rotarians were hard at work volunteering for e4c, spreading a mountain of mulch around the community garden. It was a cold and rainy Saturday morning but we got the job done!

This past weekend was our day to clean our section of Highway 16, from Highway 60 to 231st Street. We met at A&W for a breakfast planning session and then set out. It was a hard job for the 13 of us. Thank you to all the rotarians and interactors who came to help. Lessons were learned......next year we need more people, picker-uppers and Robaxacet!!

Rotary Stories

Aly Khan spoke about the relationship between Rotary and Rotaract clubs. I haven't received his speech yet, so will put it in the next newsletter.

Mr. Rose gave a great overview of the state of our economy at the federal, provincial and local level. I have attached his presentation.
